Our most absorbent, nonwoven, nonsterile sponge is made of a unique rayon and polyester blend for strength and absorbency. Increased material weight (versus our traditional line) helps reduce the number of sponges that have to be used for each procedure. Compared to traditional woven cotton gauze, this sponge is more economical, lower linting, more absorbent, faster wicking and less traumatic to granulating tissue
